Because most people won't be very interested in reading about some random person on the Internet, here's a link directly to my projects.
My name is Peter Güttinger, I'm in my twenties, and recently got my Master's degree in Computer Science at ETH Zürich in Switzerland.
Programming is my main hobby, and most of the results of this hobby can be found on my projects page.
As I'm programming a lot I have to deal with programming languages a lot and know many of their faults and shortcomings. For that reason I have created several small languages for my own projects so far, including one that is written in normal English sentences.
I've also been working on a new general-purpose programming language for a few years now, which will hopefully allow me (any maybe others) to program with more ease and higher efficiency than with the most popular languages.
The name of this website, "njōl", is an Old Norse word meaning fog, night, or darkness. I also use this name as username often, or "njolbrim" if it is already taken.
Several of my projects also use Old Norse names, for example my upcoming programming language is named after Brokkr, a dwarf smith from Norse Mythology.
You can send me e-mails in English or German to [email protected]. I'll try to answer them in a timely manner if possible.
